Case Study

Levi’s Stadium, opened in 2014, is an open-air football stadium in California. The stadium has served as the home venue for the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers and was the first stadium to host an NFL team with LEED Gold certification. The $1.2 billion venue has 1.85 million square feet, seats approximately 68,500 and features 165 luxury suites and 8,500 club seats.

The Solution

We identified potential code issues and presented alternative design approaches for susceptible areas. We utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit software to effectively design the fire sprinkler systems to meet code without detracting from architectural elements.

The Results

We helped architects to realize their artistic vision and environmental goals while maintaining code compliance every step of the way. Because of our work, Levi’s Stadium can be sure that football fans and event attendees can safely marvel at both the architecture and environmental efforts.
