Kurt Ruchala

Kurt Ruchala, PE is a Director with 24 years of experience. He has acted as an adviser to building owners regarding compliance with local and international building codes and fire safety standards. Mr. Ruchala is experienced with building/fire code consulting and design concepts, as well as fire protection and life safety evaluations involving many types and classifications of facilities. His experience includes both new and existing structures. He has performed fire protection and life safety system analysis, evaluation of hazardous material, and inspection/testing of fire protection systems. He has designed and specified fire suppression systems both water based and special hazard as well as fire detection and occupant notification fire alarm systems. Mr. Ruchala's experience includes software based analytical tools to support code compliance alternatives and equivalencies, Mr. Ruchala draws on his experience and involvement in national codes and standards development to support clients with litigation as well as system design and code projects. Mr. Ruchala has been involved in the fire service for over 31 years and is currently a paid-on-call fire captain.
