Joni Jones

Joni Jones, PE is a Senior Civil Engineer with over 13 years of experience in project/quality management and consulting with construction materials testing. She is skilled and experienced with management of multiple projects in various construction and construction materials markets and efficiently manages technical staff and lab facilities. Ms. Jones' areas of expertise includes practical interpretation of specialized and standard testing of construction materials. Her work focuses on the knowledge base of testing cement, aggregate, admixtures, concrete, supplementary cementitious materials, cementitious-based construction products, sealers, coatings, grouts, pigments, dimension stone, cast stone veneers and masonry brick. Her expertise also includes consulting and evaluation of new and established products for specialty concrete such as lightweight and high-performance concrete. Ms. Jones has secondary experience in conducting condition surveys for existing structures, investigating moisture problems between concrete floors and adhesives and modeling heat generation in mass concrete. Ms. Jones' extensive experience in concrete materials and laboratory testing has helped clients troubleshoot problems with fresh or hardened properties of concrete using physical testing, non-destructive testing, microscopy and chemistry tests.
