As a senior manager in the U.S. Secret Service’s Chicago Field Office, John oversaw and coordinated logistics for a wide array of protective functions ranging from the 1996 Democratic National Convention, 1999 visit of Pope John Paul II to St. Louis and the 2000 protective detail for Senator Joseph Lieberman’s Vice Presidential bid to behavioral threat investigation cases involving threats to the President and Vice Presidents of the United States.
John served on both the Vice Presidential and Presidential Protective Divisions from 1987 to 1992, in positions in which he conducted numerous domestic and international facility and residence surveys and protective advances for the President, Vice President and foreign heads of state.
