John Stone is a NAFI Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator. He has over 24 years' experience investigating fire origin and cause. Mr. Stone began his career fighting wildland fires for the U.S. Forest Service. During his tenure with the U.S. Forest Service he was also responsible for developing and writing procedures regarding fuels management and prescribed burn plans. He is trained in scientific content analysis and criminal investigations. He has conducted numerous criminal follow-up investigations on fires determined to be of an incendiary nature. Mr. Stone is experienced in determining the origin and cause of residential, commercial, wildland and vehicle fires, fire scene excavation, evidence collection and chain of custody, fire damage diagramming, witness interviews, photographic documentation and report writing. He has prepared cases for filing by the prosecutor's office and he has provided expert witness testimony on matters of origin and cause. Mr. Stone has completed the Basic Law Enforcement Academy certified by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and he is a Licensed Private Investigator.
