Dennis L. Jones

Dennis Jones, CFI, CFVI, CFEI, PI is an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator with an extensive background in both criminal and civil fire investigations. He has over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors and has qualified as an expert witness in both state and federal court. Mr. Jones provides investigation and expert witness support to the insurance and civil litigation community. Mr. Jones has received extensive training, including fire origin and cause determination, electrical fire investigation, vehicle fire investigation, interviews and interrogations, courtroom testimony, evidence collection, fire science, fire behavior, fire dynamics, fire chemistry, flammable and combustible liquids. He is knowledgeable about standard practices regarding fire scene excavation, evidence collection and chain of custody. As a former Fire Marshal, he has an excellent understanding and knowledge of the ICC and NFPA codes including fire, life safety and building codes. Mr. Jones is a licensed Private Investigator in the State of Utah.
