Dan Jager, CFI, CFEI, CFII is an IAAI Certified Fire Investigator and NAFI Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator based out of Alaska. Prior to joining Jensen Hughes he served as the Fire Marshal for Capital City Fire Rescue serving the City and Borough of Juneau for over 10 years with 30 years of fire service experience. Mr. Jager is experienced in determining the origin and cause of residential and commercial fires. He is skilled in fire scene excavation, fire damage diagramming, witness interviews, photographic documentation, report writing, evidence collection and chain of custody. He has experience working directly with the Coast Guard on maritime fire investigations. Mr. Jager has received specialized training in fire origin and cause determination, electrical fire investigation, vehicle fire investigation, evidence collection, fire science, interviews and interrogations and courtroom testimony. Mr. Jager is knowledgeable about standard practices regarding fire scene excavation, evidence collection and chain of custody (NFPA 921).
