Ross is an Associate experienced with some of largest shopping complexes in Europe including Westfield Stratford City and Intu Merry Hill for which he developed coherent fire strategies based a range of fire engineering solutions. He provides consulting for new buildings and refurbishing or reconfiguring existing buildings. He has worked on a range of different buildings including shopping centres, residential, office, mixed use, leisure, educational, and industrial. He has developed fire engineering solutions using both standard and advanced techniques such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Evacuation Modelling. He has used Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS) software to model a variety of different buildings including residential, offices, shopping centres and large vehicular coach parks.

He has completed a six-month secondment in our Irish offices working on a wide range of building types producing Fire Safety Certificate and Disability Access Certificate applications based on the recommendations of Irish Fire Safety Guidance. Whilst working in Ireland, Ross has gained experience working with Approving Authorities including the Local Fire Service and Building Control in order to develop fire engineering solutions which satisfies both the requirements of the client or contractor and the approving authorities.
