Bruce joined the firm in 2011 after completing his MEng in Structural and Fire Safety Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. Bruce is the Manager of the UK and Europe offices working out of the Edinburgh office, where he has lead a range of projects involving complex fire engineering including residential, office, prison, industrial, healthcare, and hotel buildings. His key focus is striving to always add value and achieve clients’ aspirations using a variety of fire engineering techniques.
Bruce leads the Edinburgh St James project, which is a large mixed use development where fire engineering was crucial to its feasibility. The Edinburgh St James development benefits from significant fire engineering input throughout and will be a landmark building in Edinburgh’s city centre upon completion. Bruce has assisted local authorities in Scotland in assessing complex fire engineering designs on their behalf, and Bruce also spent time in the London office to experience working on major projects in England and Wales.
